Spring has sprung at primary school Spring has sprung at primary school

A PRIMARY school is celebrating the start of spring with the arrival of baby chicks.

Youngsters at All Saints Primary School in Main Road, Dovercourt, had eagerly waited for them to crack out of their shells after learning about how spring was a time when animals were born.

The project was organised by parent group Friends of All Saints Primary School, which wanted the whole school to experience holding baby chicks.

Headteacher Richard Hopkins said: “The children were all very excited when they hatched. It helps them learn about science and life cycles."
