Nature reserve walk a great success

AN event described as Essex’s slowest charity fun run has raised more than £400.
The fifth incarnation of Bobbit’s Stroll took place on Sunday with visitors invited to amble through Bobbit’s Hole nature reserve and donate to a chosen charity.
This year’s good cause was the North East Essex Badger Group who received £436.25 collected from more than 350 participants at the event.
Representatives from the charity were on hand to explain what they do to protect badgers and the threats that are posed to the creatures.
Alongside this was face painting, a cake stall, a raffle, a bee keeping demonstration and refreshments for guests to enjoy.
