RESTORATION work to save a historic church has finally been completed.
Manningtree Methodist Church, in South Street, has been undergoing repairs costing £115,000 to parts of its roof and cupola in March.
There have also been improvements to the lighting and the fire safety system with new doors and an alarm being installed.
Church steward David Shearmur spent two years applying for grants and getting estimates to repair the 206-year-old building and is relieved the project is finally complete.
