Vital bus service praised by users
3:00pm Sunday 29th September 2013 in Harwich and Manningtree News
A transport scheme has been described as a godsend, marvellous and wonderful by the people who use it in a recent survey.
Harwich Connexions provide a range of services including the Hospital Hopper bus to take patients and visitors to wards in Colchester, a shopping link to Manningtree, group transport and wheelchair accessible vehicles.
Connexions manager Debbie Rotchell was delighted with the figures that the survey had produced.
“This indicates we are delivering the service to a very high level and meeting the demands of passengers.
“Our transport services are a lifeline to some of the most vulnerable people in the area – such as the elderly, those with impaired mobility, the unemployed and people with learning difficulties – who do not have access to other forms of transport."
