Measure agreed over footpath but residents split over location

PROPOSALS for a new footpath to make a village road safer for pedestrians have been backed by a council.
Bradfield Parish Council has backed Essex Highways proposals for a path along the south side of Steam Mill Road in Bradfield.
Around £100,000 has been earmarked for the proposals by the Tendring Local Highways Panel.
While residents have backed the need for a path they claim it should be on the other side of the road.
Clerk to the council, Dave Tucker, said: “The council recommended going ahead with the proposals for a path on the south side of the road."
