Hospitals in Colchester improving following Keogh review

HOSPITALS in Colchester are improving following the Keogh review, according to bosses.
Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust was one of 14 investigated after high death rates were discovered It avoided being put in special measures after inspectors said it was improving.
But they warned more needed to be done.
At a meeting last week Govenors were told improvements had been put in place.
Dr Gordon Coutts, chief executive of the trust, said: “I think we are, in the major items brought up by Keogh, pretty much on track.
“We are making a lot of structural and process changes but we need to make sure the behaviour change carries on.
“There’s a lot happening but overall we are on track.”
