Budding directors race against time to make film
3:00pm Saturday 19th October 2013 in Harwich and Manningtree News
YOUNG Steven Spielbergs and budding Quentin Tarantinos entered a race against time to create a short film.
Media students from Harwich and Dovercourt High School Sixth Form were given two days to make a movie between two and five minutes long as part of the 48 Hour Film Challenge for Colchester Film Festival.
The students were given the name Syndicate, had to incorporate the line “they’re getting on well” and were forced to have somebody drinking a glass of water in the script.
Head of media studies Philippa Parks was delighted with how the students worked over the weekend.
“I have never been so proud of my students work before,” Mrs Parks explained.
“They should be really pleased and proud of their work and how professional it looks.
“All the music and images had to be our own and very luckily we had two music students in our group."
