Game store couple up for award

A COUPLE who run a gaming paradise for kids have been nominated for a Pride of Essex Award.
Spencer Stamp and his wife Kay who own rental and live gaming store Fuse in Dovercourt High Street have been put forward for the Unsung Hero gong and could end up at a glitzy ceremony in Chelmsford in December.
Spencer could hardly believe it when he was given the news.
“Even now I am a bit taken aback and it is amazing someone has done this for us,” he said.
“We both feel humbled and astounded that people would vote for us."
Spencer and Kay have owned Fuse for a year and have supported charities such as Help for Heroes and the Crusaders in that time.
The couple were nominated by their friend Kimberley Boone, who believes that nobody is more deserving of the award.
“I moved to the area 18 months and only knew my mum and when I went into the gaming shop they were wonderful.
“They gave me so much information about the area, when they didn’t have to.
“They could easily just rent the games and DVDs but they put on all these games nights which are fantastic."
