£1.75m asking price too much for National Trust
7:30am Thursday 31st October 2013 in Harwich and Manningtree News
THE National Trust has revealed it couldn’t afford the £1.75million price tag for 231 acres of prime Constable Country.
The land at Hall Farm in Stratford St Mary has been sold a month after it went on the market.
Robinson & Hall, property consultants, has not disclosed the buyer or how much the land went for.
The Dedham Vale Society, which campaigns to preserve the area’s heritage, was among the groups who called for the National Trust to buy the land.
