THERE are fears speeding drivers are endangering wildlife after an otter was hit by a car and killed.
Parish councillors in Mistley say drivers often speed along The Walls and ignore the 30mph limit.
Two weeks ago, an otter was hit by a vehicle and killed.
Parish councillor Ian Tucker said: “Two weeks ago an otter was trying to cross the road. It got three foot into the road and then it was hit by a car.
“The car was going at a huge amount of speed.
“People go along there thinking it is much faster than 30mph.”
