A MEETING room at a pre-school could be used for one-to-one drop in sessions if a children’s centre is closed.
Deborah Lamb has offered the use of her meeting room at Little Lambs Pre-school in Mistley.
The children’s centre at Mistley Clinic, in New Road, faces closure under the Essex County Council consultation.
The centre would instead be merged with the Windmill Children’s Centre ten miles away in Ramsey.
Ms Lamb said: “Not many parents in the area drive so have to rely on buses and trains to get to and from drop in meetings.
“If the children’s centre closes families are not going to be able to get there.
“I have offered for drop in sessions to be held for people in the Lawford, Manningtree, Mistley and surrounding areas.
“I put the offer forward and I am now just waiting to hear back.”
The results of the consultation, which ended earlier this month, are expected in the new year.
