A CHARITY for young people has been given a share of a major cash windfall.
Teen Talk, which has a base in Cliff Road, Dovercourt, has been given £20,000 of a £57,500 pot of money handed over by Essex County Council’s Tendring Youth Strategy Group (TYSG).
Five groups across Tendring were given a share of the money which will be used to support youngsters in the 13-19 age bracket but can also support young people with special educational needs up to 25.
The £20,000 allocated to Teen Talk is for an additional support worker to enable them to increase the numbers of young people they currently support in Harwich.
Teen Talk manager Hayley Lovett said: “It is fantastic news. It will give us the opportunity to put
in place another support worker."
