MORE streets could be plunged into darkness as part of a controversial blackout, it is feared.

Lights in parts of Harwich and Manningtree have been turned off between midnight and 5am since March 2 as part of the Essex County Council scheme to save cash.

But Harwich councillor Ivan Henderson claims the goal posts have been moved meaning more streets lights could be switched off.
