CONCERNED residents have demanded action at a dilapidated "eyesore" they fear is at risk of falling down.
Pound Farm House in Main Road, Dovercourt has been granted planning permission for 30 new homes, which is then set to fund repairs to the 17th century former farmhouse.
But the rundown Grade II-listed building has been of concern to nearby residents for years.
Jo Henderson, ward councillor, said: "We've been concerned as its dipping on the top and the gable end is fallling away."
But council planning boss Carlo Guglielmi said the building was not a safety risk.
Tim Snow, of Tim Snow Architects said an archaeological dig had taken place and a contamination survey, which were part of planning conditions before building work could get underway.
"It's anticipated a start will be made in the coming months."
