A RACE night is being held to raise funds to help with the care of a severely disabled young girl.

Sophie Munnery has organised the event to help her nine-year-old daughter Maisy who suffers with cerebral palsy and blindness because of a brain haemorrhage she suffered when she was born nine weeks premature.

The money raised from the night at the Cliff Hotel on Marine Parade, Dovercourt this Saturday at 7.30pm will go towards a new wheelchair and accessories for Maisy, as well as helping to fund her home schooling.

Tickets can be purchased by calling Mrs Munnery on 07834 237393 or will be available on the door of the Marine Suite on the night.

Entry is £2.50 for adults and children go free and any raffle prize donations are also welcome.
