Town council backs pitch project
A TOWN council plans to donate £1,000 to a football club’s new pitch project.
Harwich Town Council will give the money to Little Oakley Football Club to help fund their 3G pitch.
Councillor Robert Day said: “Although Little Oakley lies out of our bounds our rules do allow us to give the grant because between 400 and 500 members reside in our parish.
“The £1,000 is miniscule compared to what they are raising but it is a particularly good project.”
