A LITTER pick will help spruce up the area surrounding new playing equipment which has cost more than £60,000.
The new play area on Wix Road, Ramsey, will include a zip wire, nest swing and fitness trail and is expected to be completed this week.
Tendring Council’s Big Society Fund has agreed a grant of £40,000 for the project, with an additional £10,000 coming from Essex County Council’s Community Initiatives Fund, £10,945 from Essex Environment Trust, and the rest from Ramsey War Memorial Hall.
Now Ramsey War Memorial Hall is holding a litter pick to tidy up the area before the grand opening later this month.
It will take place on October 28 from 10am and those wanting to take part can turn up on the day.
