PUPILS got a rehearsal of sitting exams and receiving results to prepare them for their GCSEs.
Year 11 pupils from Harwich and Dovercourt High School sat mock exams, which were marked by outside agencies.
The school then held a mock exam results day to mirror the official GCSE results day in August.
Papers sat included English and Maths and were taken by students across a number of schools.
Pupils have backed the new idea.
Jessica Powell said “I liked getting the results all in one as we would on the real day.”
