GREATER Anglia scored 46 per cent in a customer satisfaction survey carried out by Which? magazine.
In total, 389 passengers rated the condition of trains and value for money as two stars out of five.
Availability of seating, cleanliness of toilets, punctuality and reliability was rated three stars.
The overall satisfaction rating was 46 per cent, which ranked Greater Anglia 18th out of 21 operators.
Marc Elmer, who commutes from Dovercourt to London, said: “I have commuted for eight years and the decline with everything on the service is astounding.”
A spokesman for Greater Anglia said more than £30million was being invested in improving customer service, train performance and the train fleet.
He added a recent National Passenger Survey of 2,164 passengers found 80 per cent of customers were satisfied.
