PRIME Minister David Cameron will set out his ‘plan for working people’ during a visit to Essex today.

The Tory leader is expected to say that the plan - presented as a credit card sized pledgecard – will mean 250,000 more jobs for the region.

Mr Cameron will also announce plans to match-fund the development of a feasibility study on dualling the A120 between Braintree and Marks Tey.

Essex County Council has already put forward £5million for the study.

Highways England will also be asked to include analysis of further improvements needed on the eastern stretch of the road from Marks Tey to Harwich.

Mr Cameron said: “Our plan for the working people of the East of England means new investment and new jobs for the East of England.

“The Conservative Party can point to a track record of success in the East of England, with more jobs, more apprenticeships and more businesses opening here.

“We’re the only party offering the East of England a clear plan for the future.”

Mr Cameron will also announce plans to cut income tax for 2.8million people in the region, as well as the creation of 270,000 apprenticeships and 100,000 new 'good' primary school places.
