A CHARITY shop is urging customers to donate items and become volunteers.
The British Red Cross in Dovercourt High Street is calling for unwanted clothes, toys, furniture and other items to help raise money for the charity.
The town centre shop will also be putting on special promotions next week to encourage more shoppers to support the store and, in turn, the good causes it funds.
Then, as part of National Volunteering Week, the shop will be open on June 4 and 5 to try to encourage more people to give up their time and help out.
Manager Liz Seal is also encouraging donators to add gift aid to their donations.
This means the charity raises an extra 25 per cent per sale, which the store can then give to worthy projects at home and abroad, including those affected by the recent earthquakes in Nepal.
