AN 11-year-old maths whizz is celebrating getting an A* in his GCSE.
Christopher Hookway, from Ramsey, took six months to swat-up for the exam, which he sat alongside teenagers at St Benedict's College in Colchester in June.
Dad Simon said he is "over the moon" with the result.
"It's fantastic," he said.
Christopher, previously of Two Village Primary School, who turned 11 just last month, spent an hour and a half every night doing maths to prepare.
He said: “I’m really happy - I was nervous to open the envelope but when I saw the A* I couldn’t believe it. I was overwhelmed.”
He is now hoping to start a statistics GCSE level as well as most science-based subjects.
He is then planning to do A level maths and further maths all before he leaves in year 11.
