A VILLAGE fun day with street dancers, live music and bouncy castles has raised more than £780 for a student paramedic's charity bid.
Alice Randell, 27, organised the event at the Leisure Centre in Brantham on Saturday.
The day included performances from street dancers and highland dancers, and a set from Colchester rockers All Revved Up.
Kids enjoyed themselves on the bouncy castle and got a visit from Colchester United mascot Eddie the Eagle.
She said: “Seeing as this was the first time I’ve organised anything like this I’m very pleased with how it went.
“It went so well I’m now thinking of making it an annual event.”
After raising an impressive £782 from the day, Alice will now prepare for a six day trek through the jungles and mountains of Cambodia.
It will take her through difficult and rugged terrain, and she will average 15-20 kilometers a day over six days.
