A HARWICH funeral service has been branded the best funeral planner in the region at a prestigious awards ceremony.
Hosted by BBC presenter Sian Lloyd, the ceremony marks the biggest gathering of independent funeral directors in the UK.
Harwich and Dovercourt Independent Funeral Service was presented with a framed certificate and cash prize.
The Woodland Trust also dedicated trees on behalf of the service, to be planted locally in recognition of the achievement.
Ronnie Wayte, Golden Charter’s chief executive, said: “Now in their 23rd year, the awards are more competitive than ever before, with funeral plans continuing to grow in popularity.
This award is well-earned proof that Harwich and Dovercourt Independent Funeral Service has reached a remarkable standard.”
