A BUSINESS breakfast gave high-school youngsters a chance to experience the world of work.
Some 22 companies attended the breakfast at Harwich and Dovercourt High School, which was set up by Year 12 students .
The pupils hope the event will help the school form strong relationships with companies to ensure they offer work placements part and full-time jobs, training and apprenticeship opportunities.
The guests enjoyed the breakfast and thanked the students for the event.
Andy Flexen-Pallot, from Job Centre Plus, said: “It was well-arranged, informative and held in pleasant surroundings.”
Mia Burrells, 16, who helped with organising the breakfast, added: “I really enjoyed running this event and would be delighted to take part in future business networking events.”
