A LORRY has hit a railway bridge, causing severe disruption to train services in our region.
The lorry struck a bridge between Hatfield Peverel and Chelmsford early this morning.
All lines are back open but rail passengers travelling through Chelmsford face delays until 10am.

A statement on the Abellio Greater Anglia website says: "Following a lorry hitting a railway bridge earlier today between Hatfield Peverel and Chelmsford all lines are now open.
"Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 10:00.
"Network Rail engineers arrived at the location of the bridge involved at 08:45 and have now made a safety inspection to ensure no damage had been sustained to the structure.
"The normal linespeed was restored at 08:53.
"We are sorry if your travel plans are affected by this disruption."
