A DRUNK hoaxer who told police he knew a bomb was on a plane could be jailed after making false accusations for a second time.
David Pinner called 999 to report a theft and after being told he should report the matter to the non-emergency number of 101 - he told the call handler there was a bomb on a plane to South Africa.
The 60-year-old admitted communicating false information when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates' Court.
Tess Mann, prosecuting said: "This happened at 5.30am on New Year's Day when the defendant was drunk.
"He reported a theft and was told he should ring a different number - 101 not 999.
"He then claimed there was a bomb on a plane to try and get police to attend."
He is currently serving a suspended sentence for exactly the same thing.
Pinner, of Foster Road, Parkeston, was given unconditional bail until he is sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court on May 23.
