A TALENTED primary school sports team have won a hat-trick of trophies in football.
Spring Meadow Primary School, in Dovercourt, managed to win the Fisherman’s Cup Final, the football league final, and a five-a-side tournament.
The Spring Meadow team includes Hayden Brand as goalkeeper, Kye Taylor, Oliver Burgoyne, Cody Hollands, Reece Howlett, Jake Wood, Josh Henderson and Finlay Adams as captain.
The team won the prestigious local cup against All Saints Primary School, in Main Road, on Saturday, May 5, 1-0 after a winning goal from Oliver Burgoyne.
They also won the primary school league final against Chase Lane Primary School, in Dovercourt, in a match held at Harwich and Parkeston Football Ground last month.
To top off their winning streak, the team won a five-a-side indoor football competition held at the Harwich and Dovercourt High School sports centre.
The match was held as part of the Harwich Primary Sports Association and saw eight teams from the area compete.
The final was between Spring Meadow Primary School and Chase Lane Primary School, with Spring Meadow winning 2-1.
Spring Meadow sports coach Mr Pallet said: “I am proud of the team and how well they have played.
“This has been a truly fantastic season. I hope the boys remember what they’ve done and that they know just how proud all of Spring Meadow is of all they have achieved.”
