A CAR crash involving two vehicles has caused serious delays on a main road.

An accident involving two hatchback cars happened in Clacton Road, near to the junction of Steam Mill Road, in Manningtree.

A witness, who wishes not to be named, said she was first on the scene and driving directly behind the cars when the crash happened at about 8.45am.

She said: “The Vauxhall Corsa went up on the grass verge and then spun into the other car.

“Both drivers are okay, but one has a cut and bruises and the other has a suspected broken arm or shoulder.”

It is believed that both drivers were females and the police and ambulance attended the scene.
