TWO teenage boys were arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife and making threats to kill.

Police were called to a scene in Harwich on Wednesday following a 999 call.

A spokesman for Tendring Police said: "Officers arrested a 13 year old boy and a 14 year old boy on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and making threats to kill.

"A knife was recovered during the arrests.

"The two boys are now safely in our custody."

Police said they are taking a "zero tolerance approach" following an operation targeting anti-social behaviour and youth criminality.

"This operation has involved targeted disruption of these groups," he added.
