A REPTILE rescuer brought her snakes into a primary school to teach pupils all about the slithering serpents.
Sue Coleman, who runs her snake sanctuary in Main Road, Dovercourt, visited Harwich Community Primary School with some of her favourite snakes She spoke to children and teachers about the impressive creatures to educate them about their biology and their natural habitats.
Sue said: “The presentations cover a lot of science but also biology and geography.
“Fun is included in the mix, and children learn more if they are having fun too. It looked as if teachers did too.”
The sanctuary has 39 reptiles, of which ten are large boas and pythons.
