POLICE are appealing for help to trace a man following an unprovoked attack on an elderly couple in a supermarket in Clacton.
Officers have releasing CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident at the Asda store in Bull Hill Road.
A man approached the elderly man and woman while shouting verbal abuse between 5pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday, October 25.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "The elderly couple were scared of this man’s behaviour and were escorted to their car by security staff at the store.
"The man then followed them to the car before kicking the doors, which has dented the exterior and broken the glass in the wing mirrors."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Adam Phillips, at Clacton police station on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
