A NURSERY is celebrating after achieving a ‘good’ rating by Ofsted.

Noah’s Nursery, in Barrack Lane, Harwich, has been rated as ‘good’ by the education watchdog following an inspection in July.

The Ofsted report read: “The staff are good role models, which helps children learn to share, take turns and be kind. For example, they encourage children to appreciate the diverse world they live in and help them learn to value the differences and similarities between themselves and others.”

Zoe Orr, nursery manager, said she was “delighted”.

Richard Colley, Noah’s Nursery chairman, said: “This is a really pleasing outcome for all involved with the nursery and helpful for parents to know the nursery provides a good setting for their children.”

The nursery, which was re-registered with the advice of Ofsted in 2015, was rated as ‘requiring improvement’ in an inspection that year.

It came after leaders at the centre did not inform them of changes to members on its committee, meaning the effectiveness of the leadership and management of the early years provision was rated as requiring improvement.

The nursery is one of the community services provided by Harwich Connexions and is open 50 weeks of the year Monday to Friday taking children from three months to five years.
