PLANS for five four-bedroom houses on a village site have been given the go ahead.
The scheme put forward for Colchester Road, Wix, on 0.65 hectares of land has been approved by Tendring Council as acceptable backland development.
The council decided that the proposal would not be harmful to the area and the properties would not be visible from the street.
Essex County Council, as the highways authority, raised no objection to the application provided certain conditions are met.
Wix Parish Council opposed the plans on a number of issues and Tendrng Council also received three other objections from residents.
