Volunteers needed to brave icy waters for New Year's Day dip in the sea
FUNDRAISERS are calling on brave volunteers to brace icy waters for charity.
The Alma Inn, in Harwich, is holding a New Year’s Day dip for the second year running off the coast of the town.
Members of staff will be jumping in the sea with volunteers to raise money for Mind, the mental health charity.
Participants can get in the water for as long as they can bear it, whether they go for a swim or just dip their head underwater.
To take part in the swim, or to cheer on the daring dippers from the beach, arrive at the Harwich Sailing Club at 10.30am.
