A SINGER serenaded a full carriage of commuters at a quirky concert aboard a moving train.
Ana Silvera performed self-penned songs, on a rail service between Manningtree and Harwich on Saturday.
She played piano and acoustic guitar with Clare Constable accompanying on cello, on the 4.36pm train.
Around 85 people enjoyed the music and countryside views.
Daisy Lees, organiser said: "We are really pleased with the concert there was a lovely, joyful atmosphere.
“I'm used to organising concerts in music venues where everything is set up already, but on Saturday the musicians, railway staff and volunteers were fantastic and the audience loved it."
Music on The Mayflower was produced by Arts La'Olam and Lucy Ainger from the Community Rail Partnership who were keen to promote the beautiful views along the train route, which they consider to be underused.
The next scheduled departure for the Music on the Mayflower project will be October 23, when the train will host Sam and Sam, West-African guitarists.
