FIREWORKS weren’t the only bangers on display over the weekend.
Scores of residents and visitors turned out to take part in the first Harwich Sausage Festival on Saturday.
Butchers teamed up to have a go at throwing the bangers the furthest while six sausage marshalls looked on.
People were also invited to taste homemade sausages and choose which one they liked the best by visiting the Hannover, Alma Inn and New Bell pubs.
