Residents of Maldon will soon be able to have their say on local NHS plans to save money.

The Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group begins public consultations next Monday on their future plans.

They want feedback on proposals, to get health services ‘back on track’ financially.

Accountable Officer for Mid Essex CCG Caroline Rassell, said: “Healthcare demands have continued to rise.

“The pressure on funds is even greater.

“We need to face some difficult decisions to cut spending in the short term, while we work with all of our partners in health to improve things for the long term.

“It’s important local people know the position, look at our plans and have the opportunity to say what they think.”

Consultations will take place at Maldon Town Hall on July 28 from 7-9pm and September 8 from 2-4pm.
