Most 12-year-olds would be embarrassed to dance with their dads, but not one rising star.
Lauren-Mae Cooke, or Lolly as she is known, and HGV driver Alex Cooke, 40, both of Great Yeldham, took part in the parent and child street pairs class of a competition organised at Braintree Leisure Centre.
Lolly’s mum, Lorraine, said: “Lolly taught her father some moves and, because he attends the dance competitions, he has picked some things up.
“Alex thoroughly enjoyed dancing with Lolly and I'm glad to say Lolly wasn't at all embarrassed dancing with her dad, unlike some 12-year-olds, and they both have said they would do it again."
Lolly also competed with her dance partner Ben Shergold, 16, from Colchester, at the competition, where they both won trophies.
