HOME Secretary Theresa May visited Colchester to help launch the town’s Tory candidate’s campaign.
Party supporters and volunteers gathered at Colchester’s Officers Club, in St John’s Green, this afternoon as Will Quince outlined his plans for the town.
They included tackling traffic congestion, knife crime and the problems at Colchester’s hospital trust.
He said: “We have a bright future ahead of us but only if we tackle the big issues.
"I will fight every day of my time as MP for the people of Colchester."
Mrs May added: "It’s a great pleasure to be back here in Colchester able to support an outstanding candidate.
"I think Will will be a first class Member of Parliament ."
- Conservative Will Quince will be pitted against Lib Dem Sir Bob Russell, who won a 7,000 majority in 2010.
- Labour’s Jordan Newell has also entered the race against Ukip’s John Pitts, Green Mark Goacher and Christian Democrat Ken Scrimshaw
