Pensioner admits abusive behaviour
A pensioner has admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards another elderly man.
Colin Tierney, 71, of Tabor Avenue, appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court charged with causing harrasment, alarm of distress by his actions to William Chapman, 87.
The incident happened in Braintree on November 1.
Mr Tierney was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £15 victim surcharge.
