A care home has received ‘good’ ratings from a inspection board.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) published their report on Firstlings, in The Street, Heybridge giving the home positive marks for safety and care.
Inspectors found residents felt safe, staff understood who to report concerns to and risk was minimised.
The report states: “Staff respected people’s privacy and dignity and interacted with people in a caring, respectful, professional manner.”
Home manager Tina Bentley said: “It was a good inspection, it’s the first time we have been inspected under the new regulations.
“It’s nice, positive feedback for care, rewarding for the staff for all the hard work they do and the residents have been very proud.
“We were very proud and it’s really good for us to aim for outstanding next time.
“It’s about promoting good care work and a family feel.”
