Police are appealing for information to find two teenage girls missing from their homes in the Maldon area.

The girls, aged 14 and 15, who are not related, left school early on Friday and are known to have gone to an address in Shoeburyness to meet a friend, 20-year-old Kieran Hartley-Anderson.

They are believed to have left together to go to a park in the Shoeburyness and Southend area but they have not been seen since Friday evening.

Extensive searches have been carried out in the Southend area and enquiries have been made among relatives and friends of the girls and Mr Hartley-Anderson but no-one has heard from them.

Chief Inspector Jonathan Baldwin said: "We would like to hear from anyone who has been in touch with the girls either by social media or by text or telephone calls.”

Anyone who sees the girls or Mr Hartley-Anderson should call 999 or call Essex Police on 01245 282103 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
