A mum who was so scared of heights she could not look out of her own bedroom window is planning a skydive after conquering her fears for a TV show.
Sarah House, of Rosemary Avenue, Braintree, developed acrophobia aged eight, which caused her to suffer panic attacks in everyday situations.
While she braves the panic attacks to go on aeroplanes for holidays, even driving a car can be a problem.
The 47-year-old said: “I did have a Land Rover a couple of years ago, but it was high up.
“I had a panic attack on the A120 and I had to get my husband, Daren, to come and rescue me.
“I struggled with it all my life, to the point where I couldn’t even stand on a chair."
Now, after featuring in Sky1 show Fright Club, which airs on June 10, Mrs House is planning a charity skydive.
