Braintree will take to the world stage this week when female cycling champions travel through on the women’s tour.
Up to 10,000 people are set to line the route, starting in Braintree town centre, to watch Stage Two of the Aviva Women’s Tour on Thursday.
Nearly 100 riders, including Olympic champion Laura Trott, will set off from Market Place at 10am and
head through the High Street to tackle a gruelling 138-kilometre route starting with High Garrett, Halstead and Castle Hedingham.
For the full route and more details, see this week's Braintree and Witham Times.
