Ticket fraud warnings as summer of festivals kicks off
Residents are being told to be wary of ticket fraud, as the summer of festivals kicks off.
Essex Police is warning residents to be alert, after Action Fraud received 533 reports of ticket fraud relating to gigs, concerts and sporting events this month.
A campaign called “Get Safe Online” recommends people buy tickets only from an official box office, promoter or agent and warns people not to reply to unsolicited emails from unfamiliar sellers.
