A man has been arrested following a burglary in Braintree during the early hours of this morning.
A 22 year-old man has been arrested following a burglary at Braintree Fabrics in Rayne Road.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Police went to a commerical premises in Rayne Road shortly after 3.10am today after a burglar alarm was activated at the commercial premises.
“Officers reported that entry had been forced to the building and a search was carried out of the area with the assistance of a police helicopter.
“A 22 year-old man from Southend was arrested on suspicion of burglary and has been taken to Chelmsford police station for questioning.
“He currently remains in custody and poilce enquiries are ongoing.”
