The hit and run incident happened at about 9.20am on September 25 in Oak Road, Rivenhall.
A red Massey Ferguson tractor towing a seed drill was in collision with a white Fiat Ducato van.
As the vehicles passed each other the seed drill struck the van causing significant damage.
The tractor, which was travelling towards Silver End, failed to stop.
The tractor is a six or seven series and is more than two years old. The seed drill was also red.
