AS many an old girls' high pupil will remind you, Wisdom Giveth Life.
The motto lives on 107 years after Colchester County High School for Girls first opened in Colchester High Street in 1909, in the building which is now the Co-operative Bank.
The school moved to the top of North Hill (now the Sixth Form College), then to Greyfriars (now GreyFriars Hotel) and finally settled in its distinctive Norman Way home in 1957.
We've dug into the archives to find pictures of CCHS throughout the decades, from 1913 to the 2000s, documenting school plays, exam successes and memorable teachers past and present.
- Have you got any old photos from CCHS you would like to share? Send them along to gazette.news@nqe.com
