A HIT radio show will be recorded at Colchester’s Charter Hall next month.

Multi-award winning BBC Radio 4 show I’m Sorry I Haven’t Got A Clue will be at the venue on Friday, October 14 from 7.30pm.

Billed as the antidote to panel games, the show sees deadpan funnyman Jack Dee, alongside Barry Cryer, Tim Brooke-Taylor and two other guest panellists.

Colchester Council leisure boss Annie Feltham (Lib Dem) said: “I’m sure that the audience will enjoy seeing this much loved and hilarious panel show being recorded in their town.”

Culture cabinet member Tim Young said: “I’m thrilled that we’re supporting so many talented local comedians through our partnership with Colchester’s Comedy Festival, who we’d like to thank for supporting us to secure this BBC show.”

The 2016 Colchester Comedy Festival launches at the Headgate Theatre on September 30 at 7pm and there is then 16 days of mirth and laughter programmed at venues all over Colchester.
